Find out which Asia-focused analysts shine in the eyes
of the
choosiest of investors – hedge fund managers.
Research analysts at global banks have taken notice of hedge funds.
This breed of money managers, known for trading fast and often, represents a growing slice of the client
base soaking up equity research, and accordingly banks are vying for their business. Which Asian research
analysts and banks are coming out on top in the eyes of Asia-focused hedge fund managers? Alpha recalculated the results from our sister publication Institutional Investor’s 2007 All-Asia Research
Team survey – which polls a broad cross-section of portfolio managers – using the votes only from hedge
funds.
Check out the table below to see how the top three firms chosen by
hedge fund managers differ from those that topped the All-Asia Research Team, which were picked by a
wider variety of money managers. To see the complete table, see the
Comparisons Table. Explore the links to the right under Top Analysts to see which
analysts excel by sector, according exclusively to hedge funds.
