The Alpha Hedge Fund Compensation Survey’s more than 900 participants responded from nearly 600 single-manager firms and more than 60 fund-of-funds firms, which were located in about 30 countries. Firms that were represented varied greatly in size, with less than 10 percent falling under $99 million in assets, approximately 30 percent between $100 million and $999 million, just over 20 percent between $1 billion and $4.99 billion, about 15 percent between $5 billion and $9.99 billion and 12 percent over $10 billion.
